My Journey your time is now

Day One complete! It was never going to feel like the “right moment” so I’ve simply started – right here and right now!

Feels great! And my priority today is, or what should be, one of the easiest things to start off – get enough sleep!

So, regardless of diet and exercise and all the other stuff, not enough sleep can sabotage all your good intentions to feel fabulously healthy and to lose weight.

I have gotten into the very bad habit of going to bed very late! It all started when I was doing assignments for my business management degree a couple of years ago. I would spend all day procrastinating and then at the “witching hour” my brain would suddenly wake up. And wake up hungry to make matters worse!

Plus I’m an owl not a lark! I would always prefer to start anything later rather than earlier.

So my first challenge, regardless of food and exercise or any of the other stuff, is to be in bed by midnight!

Every night from now on!!

Even earlier would be even better! With a view to seven hours sleep, give or take an hour…..

And there’s a double benefit – sleep is the best form of meditation according to the Dalai Lama.
